Art and nature are closely linked in my life and work. I have always had
an incredible passion for both, and in building my hand as an artist, my
fondness and appreciation of the natural world has grown too. While I
may still be the little explorer at heart, my interests have spread deeper
into zoology and biology, especially in the strange and beautiful area of
evolution.
I currently attend the Rhode Island School of Design, focusing my
studies as a scientific illustrator while experimenting with nature's forms
and themes in my artwork. I also work at the RISD Nature Lab, a perfect
resource for me, as well as the RISD Demo Garden, using art directly
for the purpose of sustainability. It's all in the hope to combine my love
of both these worlds, art and wildlife, to better the environment and to
foster a deeper appreciation for nature and its many wonders.
